The Gaylordsville Volunteer Fire Department (GVFD) is a volunteer fire department serving the community of Gaylordsville in New Milford, Connecticut. As with many volunteer fire departments, the GVFD plays a crucial role in providing fire protection, emergency medical services, and other rescue operations to the local area.
Fire department members come from all walks of life and share a common interest – to help their fellow neighbors when crisis strikes. There are many different tasks that need to be performed in our department. If you are willing to give us some of your time, we have an assignment for you within the fire department.

General meetings are held on the first Monday of each month at 8 pm and work sessions are held on Thursday evenings at 7 pm at the firehouse.

Located in the historic train station in downtown New Milford CT, member-artists each take an active role in the operation of the gallery, including organizing programs and free events such as art lectures and art demonstrations, providing refreshments for receptions, serving on committees, and hosting during gallery hours. Guest artists and/or guest organizations are invited to present programs, teach workshops, and to exhibit.
Visitors are always greeted by a gallery artist-member and may gain knowledge about the works on display directly from an artist.
Gallery 25 and Creative Arts Center is grateful to the Town of New Milford and the New Milford Commission on the Arts for the opportunity to have a community art gallery which is renewing interest and activity in the local art scene.

Closed: The office is closed major holidays; however, the on-call person is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week through our answering service.

Since 1923, the Garden Club of New Milford has been an active, non-profit organization serving our town. From planting trees, landscaping public places, designing gardens, educating, exhibiting, and funding projects, the club has been influential in caring for the community in which we live.
Club meetings address a variety of topics related to gardening, conservation, and public service while providing fun and social interaction with friendly people from our town.

GMS has programs for all abilities from beginners (middle and high school students, college students and adults) through to competitive rowers and scullers. It has a highly successful Middle/High School (Junior) Program which competes at Youth National Championships, Junior National Team Trials, The “Royal Canadian Henley” and has sent rowers to the Junior World Rowing Championships. In addition, many Senior students are awarded scholarships and part scholarships to colleges of their preference.

Our Story
Goatboy Soaps began with a mom’s search to help her son who had been born with severe food allergies, unable to tolerate cow’s milk or soy. A search for alternatives led us to Goat’s Milk and her son quickly became obsessed with “all things goat!” We happened upon Goat’s Milk Soap and loved what it did for our skin.
When Rick returned home from a business trip and announced he would no longer travel without bringing his own soap, we got a few dairy goats. I began my research and discovered that not all “natural” soap was, in fact all natural. Ingredients like powdered milk and preservatives we’re not appealing to me, so I set out to make the World’s Best Goat’s Milk Soap! We use:
