GMS has programs for all abilities from beginners (middle and high school students, college students and adults) through to competitive rowers and scullers. It has a highly successful Middle/High School (Junior) Program which competes at Youth National Championships, Junior National Team Trials, The “Royal Canadian Henley” and has sent rowers to the Junior World Rowing Championships. In addition, many Senior students are awarded scholarships and part scholarships to colleges of their preference. In 2011 GMS also had rowers representing the USA at the Under 23 World Championships in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and at the World Rowing Championships at Bled, Slovenia.

At Harrybrooke Park we offer the ability for you to hold an outdoor event or wedding of any size while enjoying our 18 acres, pavilions, gardens and nature trails. The Harden House museum, built in the early 1940s, is available for smaller or more intimate events in a charming setting overlooking the Still River. The Children’s Movement Center offers Preschool with extended care for ages 3-5, and Before & After School Care for ages 5-12. Our center is open year round from 6:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. Our brand new preschool program, which follows a curriculum developed from the Connecticut Early Learning Development Standards, offers individualized programs to meet each child’s needs and abilities. CMC’s preschool program encourages hands-on activities that promote early writing and math skills. We also offer daily art and music sections to enrich your child’s learning experience. Preschoolers have daily access to our activity center, which offers trampolines, a large maze, a ball pit and the very popular zip line,  as well as supervised visits to our outdoor playgrounds.

The Pratt Center is an independent not-for-profit environmental education center serving the surrounding communities. Our mission is to stimulate a lifelong responsibility for, and joy, in the natural world.

The 192 acre Center offers year-round programs including; school field trips, pre-school enrichment, summer camp, scout advancement, and weekend events. Hiking trails cross meadows, the East Aspetuck River, and climb New Milford’s second highest point, Mount Tom. Farm animals include sheep, chickens and ducks. The Center is staffed by full time educators and naturalists ready to assist you with your program needs and nature related questions.

Hours: M-F, 9 to 4 & on weekends for special events. Call for details.

Trails: Open sunrise to sunset year-round.
Closed: Most holidays.
