The Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce proudly awarded three scholarships on July 20th at our Business Scene held at the New Milford Tennis & Swim Club.  Our 2022 scholarship recipients were Caralyn Anderson, Olivia Arasim, and Megan Lipari.

A little bit about our recipients…

Caralyn Anderson

Caralyn will be attending Central Connecticut State University. She has a strong interest in Health and Human Services and Education. Throughout high school Caralyn participated in clubs like Unified Buddies and played softball and volleyball. She has also donated countless hours to the community and is still currently employed at The Green Spot and GoatBoy Soaps.

Olivia Arasim

Olivia will be attending Rochester Institute of Technology where she will be majoring in Global Business Management with a minor in Japanese. When she is not studying, Olivia enjoys playing instruments, drawing and painting, photography and travel. While at RIT, she plans on participating in their new Performing Arts Center with Stage Crew, or their Concert Band with flute and French horn. She also plans on studying abroad.

Megan Lipari

Megan is attending High Point University in North Carolina where she’s been accepted into the honors program. She plans to major in Psychology with a potential minor in business. One of the main attractions for Megan to attend High Point was their mentorship program where leaders of different industries teach the classes. Some of her interests and hobbies include field hockey, tennis, and involvement in clubs like student government.

We wish them much success in life and in their educational journey!

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our scholarship presentations – recipients, family and friends, Chamber Members, Mayor Pete Bass, and members of our Board of Directors.

Thanks also to the members of our 2022 Scholarship Committee: Jenn Birdseye, Adele Conner, Lori Gordon, Tammy Reardon, and Rich Vallinaggi.
