On The Road Again is comprised of three friends who have a deep love of music and decided to perform together in 2021…the life we love is making music with our friends.

Julie Sorcek – Flute/Sax/Vocals: Julie Sorcek is an accomplished musician, performing on flute, saxophone and vocals. In addition to being a member of the band On the Road Again, she performs swing and jazz with both the band SwingSet and the duo Fluke, and performs a mix of pop & oldies music with Rio Sorrentino. Julie is a veteran of the Connecticut folk music scene for many years, having played with contra and family dance bands Wry Bred and the Reel Thing. She is also a member of the Celtic bands Chicks ‘n Sync and Fiddleuisce. Julie is in demand as a “sideman” on flute & harmony vocals at Danbury, CT area open mics.

Nancy Janutolo – Percussionist: Nancy started playing drums at 5 years old when she sat on her father’s lap while he played his drums and she continues to play to this day. She began her public performances when she was the drummer/percussionist for numerous community theater productions throughout Connecticut which helped her hone her skills and understanding of difference styles and rhythms. She has been in many locals bands and has recorded with various local artists and songwriters and is currently enjoying playing with Tammy Lee Dunn and Julie Thompson Sorcek in their band On The Road Again which is a three piece all women band who cover many country, rock and pop songs and enjoy making music with their friends.

Tammy Lee Dunn – Guitarist/Singer: Tammy Lee began her musical journey at the age of 9. Over the years, she has been fortunate to perform with hundreds of different musicians and has been recently humbled to play with some of the best people and musicians in the area. Her love and only instrument of choice is a 12 string guitar and her goal is to bring music to friends and share her love of performing with others; bringing musicians together as much as possible. She is happy to be able to support so many local volunteer groups and organizations through many different music projects. Tammy mainly performs in CT with her band, On The Road Again. They play rock, country and always a little bit of love.

When Kristi was in her mid 20’s she took a break from her life as a touring musician, opening for the likes of Odetta, John Gorka, and the Indigo Girls; a break that lasted the better part of 25 years. Then, in the summer of 2018, she found herself at an open mic. By the end of the night, she was singing again. Four months later, to her surprise, she was writing songs for the first time in a long while. 40 plus songs written in that following year include the 11 which make up the tracks on Brave New View. In the words and melodies are the stories of her adult life: the passing of her mother, the dissolution of a 20 year marriage, her discovery and exploration of meditation, new love, and the essence of the sacred in everything and everyone. Kristi opened her heart back up to music, balancing life’s harder earned lessons, and its most profound joys in melody and words. “We learn from love by falling madly into or by tumbling awkwardly out of it; reaching out for its ancient wisdom or finding lessons tucked down deep in a long forgotten memory. Brave New View has a prayerful theme running through its veins: in liberating my own being, may I benefit others.” She invites you to share in the good vibrations. Peace.
