Village Center for the Arts Presents Gallery Opening “PRISMIC”, Featuring 19-Year-Old Emerging Artist Arianna Alagna
Village Center for the Arts in New Milford, CT will present “PRISMIC”, the first official exhibition by 19-year-old emerging mixed media artist Arianna, opening with a reception on September 12 from 6:30–8:00 PM.
Arianna’s artistic journey with VCA began at just five years old, when she attended summer camps and began developing the artistic skills and confidence that would continue to shape her work. Nearly 15 years later, she returns to VCA, not as a camper, but as a featured artist.
Working primarily in acrylic paint and colored pencil, Arianna creates bold, surreal and often quirky works filled with saturated color and intimate details. Her art explores the human experience, including vulnerability, imperfection, and subjects that can be uncomfortable or unconventional.
Rather than telling one specific story, Arianna describes her work as a visual flow of thoughts, emotions, questions, and observations that allows viewers to find their own meaning within each piece.
“PRISMIC” marks an exciting milestone for a young artist beginning to establish her own creative voice, and a meaningful full-circle moment for her and VCA.
