Join the Sherman Chamber Ensemble ofr a magical evening. Performing are Victoria Lewis (violin), Jane Chung (violin), Richard Wolfe (viola), and Eliot Bailen (cello). They will take center stage performing Schubert’s powerful Quartettsatz.
As part of the Ensemble’s year-long celebration of American music, we highlights works by Amy Beach, America’s first major woman composer, and Samuel Barber. The quartet will be joined by flutist Susan Rotholz in Beach’s Variations and collaborates with Metropolitan Opera mezzo-soprano Sandra Piques Eddy in Barber’s Dover Beach and Respighi’s Il Tramonto.
