Evergreen Walk & Selecting Your Holiday Tree

November 20 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

$5 – $10

Deer Pond Farm has many native evergreens around our main campus. Some species you will see are white pine, hemlock, concolor fir, Christmas fern, and holly. Lori Lichtenauer, Sanctuary Manger / Naturalist and CT state certified forester will lead this guided walk to review the importance of evergreens as shelter and food for many animals. She will also review what to look for and avoid when shopping for your holiday tree at a local farm, nursery, or tree stand.
