What’s the Word: Explorations of Race and Identity through Hip Hop and Poetry.

Kane Smego performs poetry, rap verse, from his one-man show, Temples of Lung and Air, to explore issues of race, identity, and language. Drawing on his experience growing up in the American South to his work traveling as a performer and educator across five continents, Kane takes the audience on a journey through word and sound while challenging us to take a closer look at ourselves and society.
