The project was awarded the prestigious Presidential Award from the Federated Garden Clubs of Connecticut. This recognition was a testament to the project’s impact and the community’s commitment to honoring veterans through creative expression. \nCentennial Celebration \nThe creation of these poppies coincided with a significant milestone for the Garden Club—their 100th anniversary year. This added a layer of significance to the project\, as it became both a celebration of the Club’s history and a tribute to those who have defended the nation’s freedom over the years. \nA Symbol of Remembrance \nThe handcrafted poppies serve as a lasting symbol of remembrance and gratitude.
