Performers include Missy Alexander\, Caroline Bennett\, Bob Brophy\, Al Burgasser\, Chuck Cundari\, Nancy Janutolo\, George Mallas\, Susanna Marker\, Felicia Michael\, Nick Petrone\, George Potts\, and Nancy Walsh.  \nNadine Strossen\, Civil Liberties activist and past president of the ACLU\, will provide introductory remarks.

A LATE–BLOOMER NEW YORK CITY ACTOR chooses to commit a singular act of charity—serving free coffee to a small segment of the city’s 150\,000+ homeless population living on its affluent Union Square. In the process\, he discovers a familial connection with this colorful but broken cadre of characters. As COVID overtakes Manhattan\, his experiences among the poor lead him into a “dark night of the soul\,” from which he ultimately emerges\, finding reconciliation with God and true affirmation of the Franciscan belief that “it is in giving that we receive.” Actor and award-winning writer MARK E. LANHAM and award-winning director CHRIS CLAVELLI come together to tell a tale that is both timely and timeless—an ode to the modern urban age that cheerfully refutes the old adage that no good deed goes unpunished. \nPost-Show Talk Back moderated by Rabbi Ari Rosenberg\, Executive Director\, ARC (Association of Religious Communities) a leading advocate for people experiencing homelessness in our area. \nPlease bring nonperishable food item for the New Milford Food Bank.
