SUMMARY:Find the Love Rock Hunt
DESCRIPTION:Kateland Kelly\, local artist\, Physician Assistant\, and civil rights advocate is hosting an interactive rock hunt on the New Milford Green in conjunction with various local businesses to celebrate the inaugural Pride Picnic with Litchfield Pride. \nTen hand painted rocks displaying the following Pride Flags will be installed throughout the Green on Saturday June 12th and will be redeemable during the Pride Picnic at a prize table during the festivities. This family friendly\, socially distanced activity is designed to remind participants to “Find the Love” every day and they are encouraged to either rehide the rock during the event\, or return it to the prize table to claim a gift. If participants choose to rehide the rock\, they do not get a prize but are instead choosing to “share the love” encouraging participants to be the positive change in the world. Prizes are donated from the following organizations\, with hopefully more joining before the date: \nTasty Waves\nNordica Toys\nBD Provisions\nEvergreen Juice Bar\nAll Aboard Pizza + Ice Cream\nHummingbird Stained Glass\nJazzercise of New Milford\nDeja Vudu Vintage\nBarkery Boo’tique\nThe Write Assistant \nThis activity was conceptualized\, designed\, and orchestrated by Kateland Kelly as The Write Assistant and is fully funded by donations. There is no cost to the town and by having local businesses engage in small gift certificates\, we can increase foot traffic during and after the events conclusion.

That sweet traditional blues groove is the lifeline to all the music we do \, says Dean Snellback\, founder and leader of “The BluesyLand Band”. From the Delta\, Memphis and Chicago stylings to Jazzy\, Swing or Country Blues\, we will take you on a fun journey through BluesyLand. Singer/Songwriter\, Dean Snellback is a lifelong musician and blues lover who spent his formative musical years in the New York and Chicago areas. The other “Bandoliers” who are seasoned musicians with many years of live performance and recording experience\, include Jim Nowak on Bass\, George Hanlon on Guitar\, Tim O’Connell on Drums\, Also featuring Whit Campbell on Sax and Richard Hunter on Harmonica.
