DESCRIPTION:Fire Prevention Day will feature local and area fire departments and other public safety professionals with the goal of broadening public education related to fire safety. Participation is FREE for the public and fire departments to attend\, display apparatus and conduct a demonstration. \nThere will be live demonstrations\, food vendors\, games\, face painting\, local vendors and friendly competition with muster events including: \n• Deadman Drag \n• Barrel Chase \n• Midnight Drill \n• Tug of war \nThe only fee associated with the event is for fire department team registration in the muster events. Returning for its 12th anniversary CT’s Haunted trail at Scarrybrooke Park returns with more fearsome delights for your walk through the park after dark! Our event is not ONLY a staple of the season for Western CT\, but THE LONGEST attraction to walk in the state! It takes hundreds of volunteers\, working for months on end to bring you your scare. The event is a collaboration of 7 local non-profits who all benefit from your admission! NO outside entity reaps the rewards aside from the non-profits themselves! You’ll be helping The United Methodist Church\, Boy Scout Troop 58\, New Milford Lions Club\, Boy Scout Troop 432\, Soccer Club of New Milford\, Knights of Columbus\, and of course\, Harrybrooke Park\, the home of the event! Scarrybrooke Haunted Trail takes place at Harrybrooke Park\, but please note parking is at Pettibone Community Center. It is critical that you read\, understand and respect our rules\, which can be found here. We will be stricter this year and police will be notified immediately if anyone causes damage to our props or is a concern of violence to our actors.
