He is a strong advocate for music as a force for peace. \nSabrina Mason \nSabrina Mason is a vocalist and pianist who studied music and audio engineering at Western Connecticut State University. A versatile jazz singer\, she is known for her warm tone\, expressive phrasing\, and natural sense of swing. \nTJ Thompson \nA jazz pianist and composer with decades of performance experience\, TJ Thompson has appeared at the Kennedy Center with Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead and been featured on NPR’s Branford Marsalis Jazz Set. He has worked with artists including Mel Tormé\, Ed Thigpen\, Dave Liebman\, and Koko Taylor. \nNiles Spaulding  \nNiles Spaulding is a graduate of the Western Connecticut State University jazz program. A versatile bassist and private instructor known for his strong time\, musical sensitivity\, and adaptability across all musical styles\, he is in high demand throughout the Northeast. \nJames Allen James Allen is a professional percussionist whose performance experience spans Broadway\, jazz\, and global music traditions. A versatile drummer and composer\, his playing reflects a wide range of influences\, blending formal training with a deep passion for frame drumming\, body percussion\, and rhythm-driven storytelling.

DESCRIPTION:New Art Therapy Support Groups Beginning in April \nVillage Center for the Arts in New Milford\, CT is proud to introduce two new ongoing Art Therapy Group series led by Jessica LaBarca\, MA\, ATR-BC\, LPC\, a board-certified art psychotherapist and licensed professional counselor with over 15 years of clinical experience. \nBeginning evenings in April\, these two monthly groups will provide structured\, professionally guided support for adults (18+) navigating: \nChronic illness\, autoimmune conditions\, or physical disability \nGrief and loss following the death of a loved one \nEach group meets separately and is designed to offer a safe\, creative space for emotional exploration and community connection. \nThe Chronic Illness Art Therapy Group begins Wednesday\, April 22 and will meet on the third Wednesday of each month from 6:30–7:30 PM. \nThe Grief and Loss Art Therapy Group begins Wednesday\, April 29 and will meet on the fourth Wednesday of each month from 6:30–7:30 PM. \nNo prior art experience is required. Participants will be guided through art-making processes using drawing\, painting\, collage\, journaling\, or mixed media as tools for reflection and emotional discovery. The focus is not on artistic skill\, but on expression and shared experience.
