Program spans the evolution of music from the Baroque period to the birth of the Classical era. Featuring Evan Shinners on keyboard; Eliot Bailen\, cello; Susan Rotholz\, flute; Jane Chung\, Michael Roth and Doori Na\, violin; and Sarah Adams\, viola. \n– Symphony in C Major Wq 182:3/ 659\, Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714–1788); Allegro assai (attacca)\, Adagio (attacca)\, Allegretto\n– Flute Sonata in B Minor\, for Flute and Clavier BWV 1030\, Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 –1750); Andante; Largo e dolce; Presto\n– Sinfonia in F major for Strings & B.c BR C 2 Fk.67 ‘5\, Wilhelm Friedemann Bach (1710-1784; Vivace\n– Piano Quartet WB 66 in G Major\, Johann Christian Bach (1735-1782) Allegro; Rondo: Allegretto\n– Sinfonia: “Non sa che sia dolore” (BWV 209 No. 1) for Flute\, Strings and Continuo\, Johann Sebastian Bach (1685 –1750) \nThe Bach family musical dynasty dominated German music for seven generations. The most famous\, Johann Sebastian\, a baroque-era composer\, has been revered through the ages for his work’s musical complexities and stylistic innovations. He is regarded as one of the finest exponents of Baroque music. His sons continued the family legacy\, innovating and altering the landscape of classical music.\nThe performance features Evan Shinners\, a Yamaha Artist\, graduate of the Juilliard School. Since 2010\, he has devoted himself almost exclusively to the study and performance of the works of J.S. Bach. He has received widespread acclaim for his innovative and daring artistry. He has toured the world professionally delighting audiences with his stories\, humor\, original music\, and Bach-playing. He has revolutionized the way audiences experience the music of Bach\, through concerts in unlikely venues like empty storefronts\, and spontaneous pop-ups where superb artists surprise and delight with joyful performances. \nTickets $30.
