DESCRIPTION:Merryall Center is proud to share and exhibit this fine artist’s work throughout its 2022 season. All paintings on exhibit at Merryall are available for purchase and are on view during Center’s performances and by appointment. To make an appointment email: info@merryallcenter.org \nMs. Ryan’s watercolors and acrylics range from large complex still lifes\, to landscapes\, to lush florals\, to coastal seascapes. Her current focus is Connecticut farms and barns\, hoping to raise awareness to their unfortunate and rapid disappearance. Her paintings have been collected in the U.S. and the U.K. In 2005\, Ryan was honored to be juried into the prestigious Mystic Seaport’s 26th Annual International Art Exhibition\, with her painting\, “It’s A Keeper.” \n“I have never indulged in abstract intellectual notions of art\, but rather I have merely tried to capture the things I enjoy observing” – Lorraine Ryan.

We have a wonderful evening in store and invite the community to join us in celebrating and supporting RVNAhealth\, our exceptional staff\, and the vital healthcare services we bring to the greater area. \nOne of our biggest fundraising events of the year\, guests will enjoy cocktails on the patio\, a bourbon tasting\, live music by local singer/songwriter\, Nick DePuy\, and a farm-to-table inspired dinner. Our popular “Date Night for a Year” Raffle will return with gift certificates to fabulous area restaurants\, from Ridgefield to Litchfield\, an overnight stay at the West Lane Inn\, a spa experience at Adam Broderick Salon & Spa\, a shopping spree at J. SUMMARY:Connecticut Choral Society - Vigil for Peace Benefit Concert
DESCRIPTION:Please join us on Saturday\, September 24th at 7:30 pm at Trinity Episcopal Church\, 36 Main St. in Newtown. Donations in support of World Central Kitchen Chefs for Ukraine will be accepted at the door. The Connecticut Choral Society is uniting singers\, renowned soloists\, and instrumentalists in a Vigil for Peace—a benefit concert to support Ukrainian relief efforts. Vigil for Peace is sponsored by John Fulton Diamond Jewelers of Bethel\, proceeds from this benefit concert will support José Andrés World Central Kitchen Chefs for Ukraine and their efforts to feed millions of Ukrainian refugees. Under the direction of Eric Dale Knapp\, Vigil for Peace will feature renowned organist\, Julian Revie\, mezzo-soprano Karolina Wojteczko\, violinists Yevgenia and Sander Strenger\, the Chime In! Bell Choir\, St. Thomas More Schola Cantorum\, and the Connecticut Choral Society Festival Chorus—uniting choral participants from across the region. This amazing group of artists are generously donating their time and employing the power of music to unite us in peace.
