Welcome to The Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce
VILLAGE FAIR DAYS 2010
Welcome to the 43rd annual New Milford Village Fair Days, sponsored by the Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce. A dedicated team of volunteers have spent several months planning this event and hope that you enjoy the time you spend with us. Our hard working volunteers are easily recognizable by their bright green shirts, and the pins they are wearing designate their years of service. They are available to assist you in any way possible, or your questions may be answered at the Chamber booth, located right behind the entertainment tent.
I am proud to have Ray Kerney, 1st Vice President of the Chamber as my Co-Chair and we invite you to check out the booths of our vendors and local business people, and partake of their offerings. Our fair is such a success because of our vendors and we cannot thank them enough for participating. Whether you are looking to gather information, make a purchase from one of the many vendors, play bingo, eat a meal, test your accuracy at the dunking booth, or take your children to the bouncy houses; we have attempted to bring variety to the fair. We also invite you to enjoy the performances throughout the day and night at the entertainment tent.
The money that we raise from the operation of the fair remains in our local community and is donated to organizations and groups that we believe make a difference. The Village Fair Days has been run entirely by volunteers since 1995, and has donated over $50,000 to the John Pettibone Foundation for scholarships that are given annually to graduating seniors from local high schools who are pursuing higher education. In 2009, the Village Fair Days Committee and the Chamber of Commerce donated to the Creative Playground Committee, which was the driving force behind rebuilding the playground at Pettibone School. In addition to these donations, our funds provide the bouncy houses for our younger guests and we continue to invest in upgrades to our infrastructure to make the fair a safe and fun time for all.
From the opening ceremony presided at by the King and Queen to the closing entertainment provided by Curtis T, we hope you enjoy everything at the fair.
We thank you for attending, and hope to see you next year!
Sincerely,
Bob Hanna

The Greater New Milford Chamber of Commerce proudly celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2006. Incorporated as a Chamber on March 27th 1931, the GNMCC serves as a united voice of the business people in our community. We endeavor to advance the commercial, industrial, and civic interests of the Greater New Milford area.
The GNMCC is a medium for area business people to network, share information and ideas and collaborate on issues affecting the business community and general well being of the regional area. Through the monthly activities and events offered, area business people are afforded the opportunity to come together in both business and social settings. The GNMCC also serves as the organizational mechanism in bringing together private business and resources to assist the locale, provides a portfolio of services to assist member companies in growing their respective businesses, and offers assistance to firms inquiring about the area.
However, business growth is not the sole purpose of the Chamber. The GNMCC is a catalyst for positive and progressive growth and continuous improvement in the lifestyles of the people in its hometowns. It is also a marketer of the communities it serves by sponsoring festive and cultural events such as its annual Village Fair Days and Hands On Train Display, among other community activities.
Our membership consists of business people from all facets of the community, including retailers, manufacturers, service organizations, and professionals.
